can any of you guys help with my problem? i have 8850 otherwise working fine. battery will charge fine but if i leave switched on overnight by morning its off with battery dead.
would appreciate any suggestions.

I have tried various batterys still same problem. the unit is about 15 months old.

I'm using 8850 also...
in ur case i think ur phone "eat" battery...
try to use the eeprom tools to reset it...
if happen again it means the MAD/CPU eat battery
better u sell it.... cheers.....
