Data cable unlocking

I keep reading on ucables and other sites that it is possible to unlock a 3650 with a data cable. i thought i had to use an expensive flash device. is it possible to buy a data cable and unlock it with some software? and also do they just mean unlock as in unlock when the phone has been locked wiht a code not the network unlock. i've contacted at&t and nokia and no one will unlock the phone for me and i don't know how to get in touch with someone that has a flash device. i've used up my 5 trys on accident someone please unlock my phone.

You can UNLOCK your phone with DATA CABLE if u have proper software.But most of nowadays 3rd party software (griffin,Prodigy etc etc) work only with their designed boxes that u need to buy. Thats the problem.
