    wierd delivery notification problem

has anybody had a similar problem, or can help me out, pls!

i have delivery notifications turned on for my 6600. when you send a text message, if it was delivered successfully, the phone is supposed to just pop up a little notification that says "Delivered: <recipient>", without making any noises. My phone used to do that, and a friend of mine's 6600 still does it fine.

But instead my phone now plays the text message alert sound, as though I have received a new text message, but if you look at the phone, there is no "You have received 1 new message" or anything. Then when I turn the phone off, and on again, even if it's days later, I get notification popups that say "Delivered: <recipient>" for every text message I have sent since I last turned the phone on.

I have tried adjusting all the settings, reset the phone to its original factory settings, uninstalled all the programs I installed in case one of them was calling causing it, but nothing has helped... any ideas?

    tx!

What software is on phone after formatting?

I think I need to format my 6600. I have looked on the forum to see now to do it, but I have a question.

Everybody says the phone will be in the condition "that you first got it" but does that mean it will still have all it's default apps, games, images, ringtones etc?

What about software like Opera that comes on the 6600 - how do I reinstall that?

And how is formatting different to choosing Tools... Settings... Phone... General... Orig. Phone Settings?

If anyone has formatted their phone or know, please let me know. tx!

if i am not wrong... the original phone settings in the phone just restores all the original phone settings without deleting ur info. but formatting involves deleting of the information in the memory, and also restores all the original phone settings.

both do the same thing, all contacts, app and games not in the firmware is deleted. opera will b gone too. unless its part of the firmware, which i dun tink so.

Same thing happens with me but not always.

sometimes the phone works perfect with showing the delivery status as i send the sms and they receive even if i restart but sometimes it behaves strangely.
