3510i unlocked but not working!

Hi, can anyone enlighten me?
I used a dct4 calculator to unlock my girlfriends 3510i which was on O2 (uk), i tried code 7 and it seemed to work- the phone now appears to be unlocked. It accepts her virgin sim card, and receives a full signal but it will not send sms nor allow calls to be made or received.
I then tried entering code 1 but it said there was no restriction, i did not enter any more codes as those two are the only ones ive seen recommended. Should i now enter a different one?

it's got all the hallmarks of being blocked....was it ever reported as lost ?? or stolen ??

Hi, thanx 4 reply- no, it's not been reported as lost or stolen. It was working 100% but it was on the O2 network & my girlfriend wanted to use her virgin sim card in it. It's deffo not blocked, the unlock code (#7) worked no prob 1st time,
....mental!
