Newbie question regarding 3586i

I have a 3586i on the Bell Mobility network and being a newbie i would like to know if this phone can be unlocked, want to use it in El Salvador, Central America (Telefonica Movistar), any help would be greatly appreciated.

What steps are involved in unlocking this cell?

You may be out of luck, Thoses might be GSM areas and th 3586i is CDMA.
