Dku2 problem

hi, i have got a used nokia 3300 phone without a cable, i bought an unoriginal dku2 cable " i think it is the one provided with the prodigy unlocking kit" and tried to use it with the phone, the phone detects it and says" data accesory connected " then "transfering data" but the pc doesnt recognize it at all !!! "tried it on windows xp , me , and 98". do i need a driver for the cable??? or there is a trick i dont know? . plz help!!!!

I don't know anything about dku2 cable, I have seen dku5 only. But I think You must have a driver and programm for uploading stuff. Try to find driver on nokia web site.

the dku2 cable is the one that is used for uploading MP3s to nokia phones. it has access to the MMC unlike the Dku5 cables which has access to the phone internal memory
