NOKIA 6310i HELP!!

My 6310i has a major problem. When i switch my phone on it switches off 3 secs later and would keep on repeating it again and again and again. I can't seem to figure out what this problem is and was hoping to get some help from the pro's in here and also give me a solution on how to fix this problem.

it could be

1) the phone faulty
2) ur battery crap, lol, it may be overcharged or wrong type
