Nokia 6600 unlock (fail)

I recently attempted an unlock using a code generator all went well with the phone displaying phone restriction off,BUT when i put any other sim than orange in the phone boots up ok there is no network signal and the phone switches off (orange handset) tried several times and get no restriction so it must have worked ??? any help please.thanks.

I know this is in the wrong section but I'll reply anyway...

You have to put codes 1 and 2 in for the Orange unlock. I know, i've done three of them. You only get so many goes to do this before it won't let you do it via the phone and you'll have to get it done in a shop somewhere. I'm sure someone can tell you exactly how many goes you get at putting a code in.

The symptoms you describe are when you've only put one of the two codes in. put the other code in and all should be well, assuming you haven't gone over your limit for attempts! let us know if this works by the way..

I hope im in the correct section this time ? Thanks for the advice about the 2 codes it worked,i knew i had one go left only 5 i think ? correct code 7 dosent work tried code 1 that gave me the problem,followed your advice used code 2 phone restriction off works on all networks now. thanks again for the help i owe u one !
