7600 failed to register sim

My friends phone comes up with the message failed to register sim when he uses his t-mobile sim in his three 7600.

He can send and recieve texts and calls but cant dial out.

Any help very much appreciated

Possibly barred. T Mobile allow texts but not calls on barred phones. Could also be because it cannot find a 2G network as it's prolly set for 3G. Plenty of info in the forums. do a search for more info.
