6610 problem

hi guys! im friend's 6610 suddenly wont turn on anymore. at first it just restarts randomly by itself and now it doesnt turn on anymore, the lights would just turn on and then after a couple of seconds, it would turn off. what do u think is the problem? i hope u could help us guys. tnx in advance!

when i bought the 6610 i had the same problem. my phone would shut off by itself at random, but the strange part was tat it only did when i would turn the operator logo off...

anyway, no one could figure out what was going on. i called nokia's customer service number and told them the problem. the man i spoke with said that it was most definetely a software problem. so i shipped the phone to the neares nokia center and wrote to them what the problem was.

i received the phone back in about a week and a half with a new button pad and software. the problem never occoured again.

so what i would suggest is to simply send the phone to nokia and tell them what is going on. unless your friend's battery is no good, there is nothing you can do (you could get a flashing cable and software, but that's too expensive and you could make a mistake and kill the phone). send it to the nokia professionals.
