Flashing = unlocking?

If I flash my 6610 will it then be unlockt aswell or is it two different things?
I have no idea how to unlock of flash my 6610

Nope..unlockink is in eeprom area..use online generator..or unik's code generator..

flashing is writing a firmware (or part of firmware) to the phone.

generally there are 4 parts for flash:
mcu - operation system of the phone
ppm - language pack
pmm - don't remember exactly.. i think these are ringtones and stuff like that.
eeprom - phone's settings, profile bits, lock information and generally all phone settings.

if you flash a phone with a full flash, including the eeprom part, it will be unlocked as well.
