if im not wrong, jad files are part of jar files. when u edit the pix, sound files, u need to edit the jad files too, else the edited jar file wun work.

and no, i dun tink u can get jad file for multiple jar files.

The ".jar" file contains the game or application code and data. Technically it's a ".zip" file (you can open it with WinRAR or WinZip by renaming it). The data files (inside the ".jar" file) have a ".class" extenstion - which is compiled java code. The rest of the files are the icon for the game/program, the graphics and sounds, etc.

The ".jad" file is generally used when downloading Java games or apps, it tells the phone the URL of the game/app (the ".jar" file), and the exact filesize (which will change if you add/remove datafiles, or recompile the java source after changing it). The Series60 phones don't require the file, as they create it themselves (it's technically contained inside the ".jar" file, in the "MANIFEST-INFO" directory).

    To summarize:
    * the ".jar" file, is a ".zip" file, containing the app/game code and data
    * the ".jad" file tells the phone where to download/open the game/app from, and exactly how big it is (so it knows when to stop downloading/loading the file)

Hope that helps, I realise I'm not too good at explaining stuff - heh.

To answer the topic - "no, you cannot create 1 jad file, for 3 jar files".
