How to totally uninstall a util?

I installed screen capture, but it gave an error about being outdated, so removed it and installed a different version but now when I run it, it doesnt seem to load properly.

Do files get left behind when theyre removed, or reg keys etc?

And does anyone know of any other screen cap utils?

some file explorers like seleq and fexplorer can take screen shots.
