I download mIrc 6.12 and when I try to connect it tells

Unable to connect to server (Connection timed out)

and idea

there is no reply in faq

hmmm, maybe try diff ports? i mean like 6667, 6666, etc.

then look ard settings. im not so sure about the proxy settings

I'm afraid that the program after each failure use another port(its begin from 6668 and down), the help file says exactly as you said and to use port 6667 it's the best, I try almost each server as the help file says, I contact my ISP and they told me that it should work but I have to put the proxy of Syria, but there is no such thing in the option, as V6.12 as a new version, I assume that the workers in the ISP of Syria are stupid, so if anyone has an idea if it works in Syria and its stupid proxy , and if yes plz tell how

maybe try selecting another efnet server?

as I've said I tried a lot servers, mayby all of them

ok, so the prob could be either ur server list not correct/ up to date, or proxy simply not working.

heres my servers.ini file, just put in ur irc, rem to back up ur original server.ini file elsewhere.

I download the server file, it newer than mine, thank you

but its still not work, i'm sorry, may it's the proxy or I have something wrong.
