Display on 5110

Seeing as I have loads of help from one paticular person in the past,I`m hoping he may see this and help again.
A friend who is really keen at buying secondhand phones has just purchased a 5110.The phone works well with the exception that when it is first switched on it displays the word "PORN" and then a picture of boobs, which remains .As he wants to give this phone to his mother he would like to know if this picture can be removed,for obvious reasons.

You can turn off start up logos in the settings menu.

Do a factory reset to default.

It will erase most added logos and tones.

This options is also in the menu somewhere.

do you mean a factory reset via cable or through the menu?

if neither of these methods work then reflash it again

if its possible for your friend, use logomanager with the appropriate cable (i think its the most common cable for nokia phones except pop ports). there he can change the startup and operator logos. or yes, simply go to settings and 'restore factory settings' - that would probably work. i don't think there's an option to turn off startup logos in 5110s.
