    6600 Pin / PUK code

    Hi Guys,

Ive just got a 6600, but its asking for a pin or PUK code.

How can I get round this? Its on Virgin.

Do you use a cable (which Ive used before to unlock networks) or just put a number in using the keypad?

    Thanks

the pin and puk codes are part of the sim card not the phone and can not be read or changed by any means. unless you know the codes and navigate through the menu and change them. you need to contact the network provider and ask for the puk code however if you'r not the person registered to that sim card then you have no chance you'd be better of just buying a new sim card.

    Sorry,

Yeah, with my sim in the phone (orange) we get 'Sim Registation Failed'!

I thought these phones worked on all networks!

    What do you think guys?

"sim registration failed" means the sim is blocked (disconnected line) or a barred phone.

if the line is not disconnected, and you are sure that the phone is not reported lost or stolen - the problem is in the sim, and you may replace it, usually for free.
