Nokia 6600 Unlocked or is it?

Hi all,
I used the unlock codes from here on my UK Orange 6600. The handset accepted the code on the third attempt but when I put in an O2 sim the phone powers up, then switches itself off. I have tested the sim on another phone (not 6600) and it works fine.

Any ideas???

sounds more like a software problem with the phone, not an unlocking problem ...

normally worse it would ask for is the security code for the phone or the sim card pin....rebooting sounds phone related !

ask in the support section (dct4) for your model of phone and see what the experts say ..

This happens on a 6600 if the net lock is removed but not the SIM lock. Make sure you enter codes +1# and +2#

Yeah, orange are the worse for locking their handsets.

this is a dct4 phone...the post about codes +1 and+2 is about a dct3 phone !!!

he could also try the code ending +5#...sometimes Orange lock that as well
