6230 - camera / ringtone query

Hi folks,

I was just wondering if anybody can answer a few of questions on Nokia 6230. ???

In "camera mode", if the lighting is not great, horizontal bands can be seen moving vertically up the screen from bottom to top. This can be seen more noticeably if the camera lens is covered to simulate darkness. Is it normal or a fault ?

What code do you input to check software version ?

Finally, I was trying to track down a LOUD ringtone for the same phone. Pre-stored tones are ok, but I really need a louder tone for the workplace ( noisey as hell ). Currently using "Bee" which isn't bad but have heard louder on other handsets

Hi. I would't worry about the camera,u will find the quality is poorer in bad light.

To check your software version type *#0000#

Lower sw versions have poorer quality camera try upgrading to higher version 5.24 is available freely enough now.If you want to make any ringtone louder or to make real music louder for the 6230 put recording on computer then play it and record it again through free prog called freecorder and it will make it much louder. Google search will find it.
