6230 - Unlocked or not?

I have put a few different unlock codes into my 6230. A couple outright said they didn't work, but a couple said something along the lines of 'Can't unlock' or 'Can't Authorise Unlock'.

Out of interest I out my sim back in and it all seemed to be working. I made a couple of calls, I sent a text, and all seemed good. Now (a few mins later) I put my SIM back in and it can't decide if it likes it or not. It swaps from saying 'Card Rejected' to saying 'Orange' every couple of seconds.

Infact, as I type this, it seems to have settled on 'Orange' for now... Anyway, I'll post this, is there anything I might want to check or do?

You only have five attempts to use codes, after five incorreect attempts the phone becomes hardlocked and must then be unlocked by clip.

Yes, I know. Thanks. Any ideas whats up with my phone though?

Today it was fine for about 6 hours, then it just dropped the signal out totally. I've turned it off and on a few times, after waiting for the thing to settle, it's been on fine for around another 6 or 7 hours now...

Should I take it into my local Orange shop and see if they know whats up? There is nothing in my contract saying I have to use the phone they gave me is there?
