Nokia 8850 help!

Hey, i brought a second hand 8850 on ebay but for some reason when on the phone it is really quiet and i cant really hear the person. The ear volume is on max and was wondering if any of you could help me. He has offered me a refund if i return but just wanted 2 check here first.

Two options...
1.Fake speaker...
2.Bad soldered COBBA chip...

Hey, My phone has a problem with the slide, the person on the other end cant hear me speak and it cannot answer calls via sliding it, can anyone help?? or will i have to pay for repair.

lol nar the problems with the hearing, i sent that phone back and got a refund and brought another one of ebay... obviously no1 actually sells a working phone on there... i wouldnt mind but neither of them said in the auction it has any problems... but this second one i got for £20 and apart from the problem its in really good condition so im happy to keep it and get it fixed if need be... i cant be that much! i just wanted 2 see if it was anythin i could do myself first
