Interesting problem with 8290

I have sucessfully unlocked my 8290 using the free software on this site...

Now, here is the problem.

I used to be a Voicestream subscriber back in 2000 and still have the sim card that I was using. Problem is, I forgot the PIN for the sim and now the phone is now asking for a PUK code. I tried calling T-Mobile and, somehow, they were able to pull my old record from way back when, but they said that the PUK was unavailable since it was so old. Do I have any options here or am I screwed? All I want is the phonebook off the old sim. Is there any way to get at this info?

Plain and simple: No

reading SIM cards is a hell of a hard task and the encryption is so good that when SIM or PUK are lost no options are available. sorry
