nokia 9500 mmc memory problems

Hi
Anyone know anything about memory problems with the nokia 9500?
I heard that a few people had a problem using non-nokia mmc memory...Also anyone had any problems sticking a 1 gig card in?

hi, i dun get wat u mean. did u get the mmc prob or did u hear of it only.

i dunno about the 9500, but i used a 3650, ngage before, and the use of mmc depends on the firmware, and mostly the make of the mmc. but nowadays, most mmc are made to work with most phones.

ur best bet is to try before u buy, if ur phone detects the mem card, it shld work well.

I have the same problem. My Nokia 9500 cannot run any MMC card. I tried 16 MB MMC which is the belong to my old comminicator Nokia 9210 and I tried 128 MB scandisk's MMC and I tried Nokia 9300's 128 MB MMC but my comminicator coudnt connect them. If Nokia make a pacht for this I dont know. What should I do

I agree!

I learnt it the hard way that the cover needs to be latched in place for the phone to recognise the mmc. Never mind what size or brand MMC that is.

hello, i have tested the following mmc on my 9500:
128Mb, 256Mb, 512Mb, 1Gb and 2Gb mmc cards, nokia, sandisk, transcend and
other, he works all fine. all the cards i have first formated, with the
"dateimanager", or a mmc reader / writer.
