    Unknown Provider

I recently bought a 6800 on ebay. There was no sim card in it and the person who sold it to me doesn't know the provider so I cant unlock it. Is there any way to figure it out?

As far as I understand, the only way is via specialized hardware. You need a box -e.g., Griffin, Tornado, UFS, JAF- to read the network lock code.

Once you have the code, you can unlock it. But since a box can unlock the phone too, the only practical purpose of this would be informative.

Unless the start up screens, customized menu, etc., tell you something about the probable provider, your best shot is take the phone to a small repair shop that will unlock it for a small fee.

A box is too expensive for just one phone (from €150 to €400+)
