Nokia 6230 call waiting problem ...

[ellisina4]

Hello all,

I tried searching everywhere but could not find a solution. Here is my problem:
When I am talking on the phone and I get a call on a second line, the person who I was talking to originally (one on the first line) can not hear me for 4-5 seconds until the phone's second line beeps twice (after this he can hear me fine). The strange thing is that during these 4-5 seconds I can hear the original caller fine. The reason that this is very annoying is that many times people hanged up on me because the thought they lost me.

One of my friends and my wife who has the same phone experience the same problem. Please help.

Also, this is not a provider related issue. It happens with both T-mobile and cingular.

You can check the firmware version of the other phones that are experiencing the same problem... if they all are old versions (04, first quarter 05) it could be a bug in the firmware. If it is, you will have to take the phone to a Nokia Service Centre and ask them to upgrade the firmware version since your phone is experimenting failures.

Best regards

I did try using another 6230 with newer version of firmware (V 05.35) and problem is gone. I guess the 4.43 version has this bug.
