6230i Insert sim card

Hi can anyone help i have a 6230i Purchased in december it has been unlocked from O2 so i can use it on virgin but every now and then it comes up with Insert sim card you have to then switch the phone off and back on to get rid of this and make the phone work again anyone know why. I have tried a new virgin sim and the problem is still there.

I had this problem on a 6230i and it was solved by using the very latest software package to flash the phone... not saying its goin to be 100% but its worth a try!

Cured the problem had the phone replaced with a 6131 very nice phone, Nokia said it was caused by a problem with the software on the phone and it needed flashing which could only be done by them as it was still under Warrenty.

Same thing happened to me. I had to send my 6230i up north to nokia 4 times to get the software flashed. In my case the phone would intermittently not boot properly.

nokia said the phone had a generic software problem whatever that means and that it wasnt cost effective to repair so it was replaced which i thought was pretty good.
mine would boot and work fine then without warning it would say insert sim card you would then need to switch the phone off then back on again to cure it.
