Thread: Expiration question

    Expiration question

Hi, I have a phone that's sim-locked (nokia 6680). I have a contract with a network operator that the phone must stay sim-locked for 2 years after buying. Now the question is that will it automatically unlock after 2 years? Or do I have to contact the operator for unlock-code? I haven't really ever seen the actual contract-paper because my dad made the deal and he has lost the paper, so at least you could tell if it's possible for the phone to unlock automatically, if it's not then I have to contact my operator anyways.

alas phones DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCK THEMSELVES.........wish they did.....lol
ur mob can b unlocked for free with cable....search dejan bb5 unlocker,,,,
but saying that,if u ad a contract, for over 1yr(let alone 2yrs,without renewing mob)and is fully paid, then most operators will giv you unlock code...at a price!!!...i think three charge you £15.and when you ask this question, they will normally offer you a lot better deal (an i mean,a lot better)rather than lose you to another network.
    haggle with them
an tell em you want a new mob.......
