3330 SW changes ??!

I need help with changing my 3330 flashfile.
This is my procedure:

- Get full flash from it (2-6)
- PPMEdit and change something (like a pixel in a bitmap or a letter in the languages)
- Here's the first problem (should happen, I guess): when I save the changes, PPMEdit says he couldnt calculate PPM CRC! When I edit 3310 or 3210 flashfile it doesnt say that!
- Then I ran PPMManager to set checksums right (I've tried without this step, too)
- Flash it back to the phone

And there I get contact service!
Update faid won't do much, since it is just for gaining network (but I've tried it too...)

What's wrong here ?
Could anyone post a modified flash, please ?
I guess I've read somewhere v4.50 is really hard to modify (it's my SW ver). Is it true ? Should I try to downgrade ?

Hi!!! it´s possible to change your version 4.50!!!

just use chkkiller from joox!!

this tool kills mcu&ppm checksums in your phone,and also patches FAID!!


so U only have to read out your flash(pnly mcu&ppm), use chkkiller to patch it!
then u could use ppm manager or else and change your file!!

ignore the "couldnt calculate PPM CRC" message, just save it,flash it back and recalculate FAID one time!!!!(nok tool or else!!)

then you won´t get contact service and also get network!!!!!!

I think I've tried to use chkiller and didnt work...
What is the mcu+ppm range ? 200000-5F0000 ?
And then I would open chkiller and patch FAID and MCU.
Then I could flash it again in the phone and update faid.
From now on I would never have to worry about faid, again right ?

So what is the mcu+ppm range exactly ?

3330-450:

Mcu 200000-28FFFF
Ppm 290000-34FFFF

Full, for editing 200000-350000

Btw, using DeadFaid is the only working method on this version since recalc flash check still is impossible.

is it possible that your adress range is incorrect???

3330 4.50 MCU is from 200000 - 48FFFF
and PPM is from 490000 - 54FFFF

and EEprom from 550000 - 5FFFFF


???
