7650 -------- 7210

Can the 7210 use the software and ringtones ect that can be used on the 7650 ???

I am thinking of getting a 7210 so any suggestions from the forum members on this phone would be great !!!

7210 doesn't use symbian, so i recommend 7650

Or a 3650 which should be out by christmas and has an expandable memory slot. And I hear will be cheaper than the 7650. It looks really dorky though so I still prefer the 7650 and just wait for the memory upgrade.

I have a 7650 already but just wanted a smaller phone that could have the software on it like the 7650.

I hear the 6650 will be out by march 2003. 7mb (upgradable?) of memory and is rumored to be able to record and send video clips with sound. Its smaller than the 7650 and is also based on the symbian series 60 platform.

its true! there are rumors here in Manila and as well as in Hong Kong that an upgrade will be avail in the future. but rumors are still rumors until nokia confirms it (hopefully)!

It could be just, well, rumors! Where on earth are you going to insert that extra memory in 7650?!? As we all know, there is no slot in 76's body for inserting external memory unlike in the 3650. The only way to upgrade the 7650 mem, if ever, is to dismantle the phone, remove the built-in 4mb RAM and replace it with 32++ mb RAM... Well, that is obviously NOT AN EASY TASK! Even the expert will need a highly sophisticated equipment just to remove and replace the RAM! So, if ever somebody can do it, he will obviously ask for very high professional fee which makes it impractical to upgrade cost-wise. It is not the same RAM you find in our PC wherein you simply pull-out old RAM and insert a new one.
