8310 doing funky stuff....

hey guys, i have a 8310 that just doesnt want to turn on, ok it does turn on but not fully....
when i hold down the on/off switch to turn it on the LEDs just flash on for 1 second, and if u look @ the screen on an angle you can see/tell its powering up then off, on, off, on, off (you can just tell that power is being put though the LCD because of polorisment, none of the pixels are active), untill u pull out the battery... what is causing this??? would it be the cobba or has it lost its imei? if i was to be a hardware fault where would you recommend me to work on the board, i only have a hot air pen gun and a full size hot air gun, nothing 2 complex.
any suggestion would b AWSOME!!!

this problem happend with me
so i wen to the service provider they tell me
u have recived sms thats contin more than 70 char ..
arabic char
so th phone cant break it into 2 link and cant read it
this is what happend with ur fone
and bout the solution all i can say
flash ur fone and upgread it
this is the only way
