i think that a blank page is problem to me sometimes browsing aivanet.com
so i refresh and i am able to see the page! i hope this might help u!!

or u can use another browser, if u still get the blank screen!

I did manage to get some files, I got london and birmingham, then I tried again so many times the screen was always blank, I refreshed so many times but no joy !!

Thanks for all your hard work, I wish they had a UK map for all cities in UK ! AS I could plan a route from my house to another city

I will keep trying the briefcase to see if I can get Rome !

does the gps facility work on the citymaps, anyone know where you can get a gps bluetooth device that will connect to the nokia 6600 and give directions in the route mode ??

i checked your profile and i saw u r from UK, so i think that
expansys.co.uk is selling BT-gps modules!
but i think u have to check other sites too, like ebay or sites which
sell MMC cards, they probably have gps too!!

i am not sute if ALL citymaps work with gps, but the maps
which dont have "find" and "route" bugs work 100% with gps!!!

I have the london and birmingham maps and the route planner works without any problems I will see how much it will cost as I might end up upgrading to an XDA2 which will be my last upgrade as I cannot be bothered with all these new phones !!!

as we know 6600 version 4.09 has problems when installing
from inbox and using another language!

so tube.NY.sis is only for 6600 4.09!!(u can send SIS file with BT and open it from inbox)
if u dont have this model+soft i made a small patch for all the other phones

the maps that are with jojo patch can't be installed, only ovc files can run, whenever i tried to run jojo patch or map file, the installation bar appears then return to the message folder. Anyone know how to solve this problem???

I try to convert the apk files from the 3a cd but without a 9210 like jojo is very difficult. I try the SDK tools to emule a epoc and install the files but it don't work !

Many maps of the Citymaps Europe CD will work on Nokia Series 60 Smartphones. Some however will immediately let fail the citymaps software.

You will not be able to use the find function for streets and the routing function in these maps.

This all should already have been described previously in this thread by jojo.


You will need the citymaps application for Series 60 Phones.

One way to obtain that software ist to buy&download a single Map for your favourite City for that Phone on Handango for about 5$. You will get a relatively small map (usually only the city-center) but good POI Data for that location.

(For some strange reason you can't buy anymore the citymaps application directly from the tomtom website. Perhaps that is due to the oncoming release of tomtom mobile.)

After installing the application (and optionally the map and the poi-data) you can install 9210 Maps. Those maps will install in the wrong directory (/system/apps/citymaps/<mapname>). You will have to use some file manager (i.e. fexplorer) to move the map files to /citymaps/<mapname>/Map

Once again. If you use find to locate a street, the application stalls. If you try to use routing, the applications stalls.

If you seek for alternatives then there are two worth mentioning:
- Route 66 Mobile
- TomTom MOBILE

The latter is not released officially but tomtom already answers some Questions for it in their Smartphone Support section.

That's to bad. My version from AIVAnet works fine even with speech and RpyalTek RBT-1000. Did you copy the folders directly to the mmc? Because with the installer it won't work correctly. My first attempt behaived in the same way you discribed.

I have been used my Nokia 6600 with TomTom Mobile for a while with Scandinavian Map, and recently I tried to put in a CityMap for Barcelona, but a can not select this CityMap.
I have have upgraded from earlier version TTM 4.40 to TTM 4.43, and do not have any longer the directory 2577 and the programs TomTom and GPS in the directory, as recommended.

Looking forward for ideas.
